There is no bathroom!

Due to COVID-19, I recently changed the location of my morning workout to a place where there is not a rest room facility close by. I drink over 2 gallons of water each day so normally I use the restroom several times during my workout.

It’s odd, but when using the bathroom wasn’t an option, I suddenly didn’t have the urge to use it. Why? Because the mind is the most powerful tool at our disposal. Call it self talk, will power, mental toughness, or whatever you’d like, but as Henry Ford once said, “He who thinks he can and he who thinks he cannot are both correct.”

If there is something you truly want, something that you’re willing to dedicate your life to and make extreme sacrifices for, then make the decision that quitting just simply isn’t an option for you.

It’s the decision that Jack Canfield made when he wrote his book. Even though “Chicken Soup for the Soul” was rejected by 144 publishers, he was able to persevere because quitting wasn’t in his vocabulary.

Thomas Edison failed 1000 times when trying to create the lightbulb; however, he understood that what others refer to as “failure” is simply important data needed to succeed in the future.

Failure is only an option if you allow it to be. There will be set backs along the way; however, the decision to quit is ultimately one you will make. When adversity strikes, remember in the words of John Kimble, “There is no bathroom!”
