Life is a Roulette wheel
When placing a bet on the outside (Red/Black or Odd/Even) in the game of roulette, it is tempting to bet on a color/number that hasn’t surfaced lately. For example, you could catch yourself thinking, “the last 8 spins have all been red, it’s got to come out black eventually!”
The fact is that with each spin the probability of a spin landing on red/black/odd or even is 48%. Each spin has nothing to do with the last spin. The events are independent of each other.
The same is true with each day. Good or bad, what you did yesterday has nothing to do with today.
If you struggled yesterday, that doesn’t mean you will struggle today. If you did something great yesterday, do it again. In life, there is no cruise control. Things do not just happen because you show up, roll up your sleeves and get to work.
The only thing that remains consistent is time. Each day the sun rises and the sun sets. What you make with your 24 hours is your choice. Make the right one and positively impact the world through Love, Effort, Attitude and Discipline (#LEAD).
