Be ALL-IN
Chocolate milk is best served straight from the refrigerator or directly out of the microwave in the form of hot chocolate. Milk is unpleasant to taste however and even spoils when left out at room temperature.
In the movie karate kid, Mr. Miyagi tells his pupil Daniel-son that to, “Walk right side of road… safe, walk left side of the road… safe, walk middle…and squish just like grape.”
When I worked in sales, I learned quickly that the best answer I could earn was a “yes” and the worst answer was “maybe”.
Why maybe? If an individual told me “no”, I could turn my attention to someone else. As the old sales motto goes, “some will, some won’t, who cares and who’s next?” When I received a “maybe” I then wasted valuable time and energy day after day trying to persuade that person (who didn’t really want our product) to buy.
Today’s lesson is simple: Be All-IN! It has been said, a halfhearted commitment is worse than no commitment at all. Even the Bible says, “you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm, I will spit you out of my mouth.” Whatever team you play for, whether it be your family, sport, company, or religion; be all-in or be all-out. Being half-way will only has a negative effect on yourself and others.
